hi my lovies how is everyone? i'm doing just fine, just another busy p-day in ML. tomorrow i'm doing a training at zone meeting on lovign the people...i think i am a pretty lovey person so i'm not too worried but please pray for me cause i still get nervous talkking to big groups. also the mission office called and said another girl got called to this mission named sister call so you need to make sure to write sister MERYL call on my mail so it doesnt get mixed up. last week the Hogge's gave ,my district money to go to lunch like $50 and we went to this nice cuban place and the tour de france was on..it made me want to go ride a bike. DAD have you been following up on that? actually i think i saw you on your yellow bike on tv- was that you?? we have had a week of animals with our pet gecko sean in our room. we had to capture him and take him outside though cause he found the bedroom and i couldnt sleep with him in there. also there is a giant toad that lives outside our door we have to make sure he doesnt get in cause frogs are poisonous. although i'm tempted to kiss him sometimes cause its been awhile since i've got some actiion haha just kidding. our invest ana has been a bit of a crazy lady lately with her online dating, guys write her in english so she wants us to come over to see her facebook and tell her what they are saying. she was unable to get baptized this week cause she admitted she LOVES coffee and cant imagine life without it. so we're working with her to cut her 4 cups a day into 2. we had a sad day last tuesday with jorge. we went over to fill out his baptismal record and as we needed to put his wife's info on it, turns out the lady he is living with isnt his wife. she is his girlfriend of 13 years. but he cant get married to her. because he is married to a lady is cuba. and he cant divorce her and marry his girl here because he needs his marriage certificate. he is trying to bring his daughter over from cuba and needs the marriage certificate to sponsor his daugher to get her here. so in other words he only needs to break up with his girl here and move out, but he doesnt want to. although when he realized all this he was heartbroken because he also really wants to be baptized. so we'll see where this goes. its a really big decision he has to make. i kind of had some drama with a few ladies in the ward this week because some rumor got around that i am rich. where they got this idea i have no idea. so some ladies didnt like me and one told me that its because i am rich and well long story short, its all fine now but i have decided not to wear any new clothes for the rest of my mission. we found this huge turtle the other day and you know how much i love turtles well it was so big but it had the face of an ardvark and was so ugly..i need to send a pic but i left my camera at home. ew. i think it was a snapping turtle. we have been helping one of the elder's recent converts move cause she is moving into our area with her husband, and her husband is getting baptized this next week. we are excited this couple moved into our area cause they are so so cute. they are in their mid 20s and super cute. well nella has everything i love and she calls me miss designer cause i know about all her cute stuff.. she and i are going to go shopping soon i hope!! she and i get along really well and i love her a lot. i loved seeing the family pic of the reunion and everyone looks so cute, i cant believe you got tees this year! i want one! we have beeen getting fed realy well this week and i havent been running that much so i am going to try to not eat so much so these skirts will fit..ha. my new fave food is arroz con coco it is soo yummy. my comp and I have been figuring out apartments and agreed on one and we are moving on saturday. or maybe next monday. i like my new place but dont have the new address yet, i'll get it to you next mon. we had a fierce finding weekend and my zone got a booth at this flea market, the hogges are so nice and paid for it. i met so many people from the bahamas there. it was awesome they were all from naussa and i told them all the places i'd been there. it was neat cause i know they listened to me more because i'd been there. and i know that i was prepared for these people before i even knew why. the hogge's have been helping our invest lazaro get a job and this past week we met with him and them and made him a resume and found jobs online. he loves them and said he'd come to church. then he didnt. that makes me sad. at the flea market elder johnson bought me this sugar cane and coconut they cut the top off and we drank the inside i will send pics next week- thanks for the card from the fam reunion that was really special to me and meant a lot. see my email to pres hale for more info on invest-

hey fam, how are you all doing? just had a good week, hope you all did as well. love the emails, thanks for sending and keeping me updated :) i am prob moving this week or next but because i dont know for sure just send all mail to the mish office...but of course dont feel obligated to send mail thats not why i am saying this haha sorry. i got to see my hermana keller. it was so so good to see her and i was so happy. i miss hollywood but i am really liking miami lakes! we have 2 invest marianela and lazaro they have this mini chewawa picky that i looovee well their baby is always sick so they told us they can never have us come over but the elders gave her a blessing this week and she is doing so much better and they promised they'd come to church...then they didnt...ughh i hate how people always do that to us! if they aren't coming they shouldnt tell us they are. lame. whateves. we have the employment senior couple in our building elder and sister hogge., they are SOOO nice and i love them so much. they are like my parents here kind of. they buy us so much stuff it is so nice. ah. i got the postcard from WA thanks for thinking of me! SO BIG NEWS. i found out david archuleta used to be in the hialeah ward (where i started). its true. everyone knows him. can you beleive that. i hope he comes to visit sometime. i have had steak for dinner 3 nights this week. mom, i'm adding that on my no chicken, rice, or beans when i get home list. no steak either. ew. too much. but i ate it ALL! yesterday the elders had a baptism and pres and sis hale came and last minute i had to play piano without my easy book, it was pretty awful and embarassing to say the least. and we had to do the missionary minute while the people were changing and that was soo scary with the hales there. so hma b. apparently isnt home. ok soo something the latin culture always does that hopefully landon never had to experience is breastfeeding-in public- no blanket. ew. i've seen a lot of that lately. we are teaching a girl martha and we were about to drop her when 2 of her friends came in and they were members but less actives! so now we are goign to keep teaching her and her friends will come over so that will be good! we are also teaching margarita she lives in a member's home and she has already been to church a lot before we started teaching her. when we taught her and gave her a BOM she was soo excited she said "for me?!?" and was so happy. next time we went over and she was on lds.org and yesterday at church she ran over and showed me her triplet that she got in orlando (BOM, D yC, pearl..) ok i miss bob's brainfreeze but we have this AMAZING place called Rita's here and everyone goes there... its soo yummy. like italian ice with custurd mmmm i hope we can all go someday. i heard santos is still getting taught but not baptized yet but our family we worked a lot with the garcia's, the mom and dad went to church when i was there on fathers day but last week the parents took the kids so that is really neat! last night we tried teaching this guy renee and he was such a jerk he only believes in the Bible and wouldn't even take the BOM from us. He wouldn't even listen. He definitely wasn't elect. we have a pet in our house it's a gecko and i dont like it much but my comp does..our invest ana looves us and cant wait to get bap next sunday (jorge and henry are also getting bap next sunday-i hope!!) but everytime we go see her ana just wants us to check out the guys she has met from an online dating she is doing..haha what a weirdo. there has been a ton of lightening and thunder storms lately and i'm not sure if there will be a hurricane this year but we have good connections with the weather peolple so i'm not too worried. but i have a hurricane storage and i know what to do in case of one. its nice cause we are given notice if there will be one. i got that jospeh smith prophet movie i think its called praise to the man i got in spanish. we have been watching it with our invest cause they always want to know more about joseph smith, they think the restorateion dvd just doesnt have enough info. mom pres told me that you wrote him this week..do you do that all the time? ha what do you say? this week i learned how to color hair. i did a weave of blode highlights to my comp the night before zone conf i did a good job i'd say.. zone conf was really good it was on how understanding our purpose affects our planning. afterwards we had a steak bbq and played volleyball. the hales and 2 of their kids played too! it was super fun. we did that cause we have doubled baptism numbers from last year and we are on our way to triple them! we also watched that stonecutter movie. it was so good! do we have that at home? they kept mentioning the temple and i just really think we need a temple here, but they cant build one unless the orlando temple gets used more. and lots of members cant afford to go to orlando although they want to go to the temple. uigh. but my dream is that they'll annouce the temple in october conference! mom the pic of you and sister olsons mom was really cute and made me laugh-thanks for sending!! oh did i tell you i now wear mascara on sundays and special occasions only. i think that taylor will be an AP soon. tay, congrats on the baptism!! thats really neat and i'm so happy for you!! it was fun to see your pics. you are wayy tanner than i am. we can listen to disney music on p-days and we listened to the sound of music soundtrack today and i thought of how tay loves musicals. we had dinner at a recent convert herber's and his wife made a YUMMY dinner of lasanga and garlic bread and grape kool-aid..you know thats my favorite meal..ah i was so happy. i'm almost done with 2 nefi now thank goodness!!! i have a goal every morning that we run (when we do go to run) and i did the biggest number of laps i'd done in a long time it was such a good feeling just like the MTC! i'm doing a little better with spanish and understanding more than i can speak but i'm trying every day. cada dia. our invest argentina who is from nigargua she had this dream and is now ready to get baptized. latinos allwayys have dreams that are spiritual its way nuts but kind of cooL! so she is getting bap aug 2!! :) ok this lady in our ward made us this pie at her house the other day it was DISCUSTING it was purple and mushy and had raisens in it and was made from purple corn or something, well this old lady that lives there who is dying she got mad at me for eating slow and told me i need to learn to eat. oops. so i ate faster but felt sooo sick the rest of the day. i told bishop (our bish is this awesome white guy from cali-yes, in a spanish ward. gringo bishop) and he was laughing and his wife said she always gets plates of food at their house so that the lady sees then goes and throws the plate of food away. tell trent thank you so much for the postcard! that was really nice of him to send and meant a lot to me.we got a new ward mission leader yesterday, its a 22 yr old recently RM and he will do such a good job we are really excited!!! dad weren't u the ward mission leader once? his mom hermana morraz gave me like 4 new skirts and a new suit top last night i was so excited they are even my size!! so i have doubled my wardrobe. grandma thanks for the card and money!! ok i just told my comp about my blog and her fam is going on it. ah last week at kmart they didnt ring up something i bought so i went back today to pay for it and they said nobody had ever done that before.. so they gave me a discount! nice huh! ok well i love you all and am sending big hugs and kissies

Getting Busy in Miami Lakes

heelloooo everyone, i cant believe how many advertures you are all having right now. our family is awweessooommmee like seriously we cant stay put haha. mom have wendy call pres hale. i think it'll be ok and he is expecting her call this week. i hope i get to see her! and i hope we all travel safely umm ok so here goes. please pray for jorge, henry, ana, argentina, marianela and lazaro, ramon, martha, and margarita. those are our investigateors right now. jorge and henry have bap dates and will hopefully get bapt this sunday, but if not then maybe the next. jorge is almost done smoking and henry is almost ready to commit living the law of chastity. last p-day we played football and i got hit pretty hard by elder stevens and cut my foot pretty deep but i'm ok now. there is this RM in my ward who served with david k. his name is chris c...forgot his last name. i get to see hermana keller cause she got me a copy of praise to the man in spanish. we have been tracting lots getting a bigger pool of invest and its been helping me lots with my spanish and i've met lots of cool new people. thanks for the 4th of july mom that was cute. one day tracting we have this HOTSPOT we like to go to where they allll speak span and they are pretty nice people. well on one floor, we met a less active, then a few doors down the father-in-law of a member and he isn't a member, and then another less active. cool huh! so the 2 less actives are friends now and will be coming to church and relief society stuff hopefully. when we were talking with the first one we met she started singing in our lovely deseret and said that was her fave hymn...weird.. a member in our ward makes the best pupusas i've ever tasted and i think i am still full from wednesday.. i ate like 50. i must learn to make them for you some day. i haven't sent you my address but we are moving this month but for right now it is

President wrote me a special email and said i'll "be here for a season" so i guess i'll just sit put for now. ok i'm reading 2 nefi and cant understnad the isaiah chapters, any ideas? nobody here can say Call, its the funniest thing they all saw cawwlll haha i will have someone say it on a tape or something it makes me laugh so hard. and EVERY person i meet that knows eng and span all say oh call- like llamada it is so dumb. every time. ugh. ana is a media from venezula she came to church even though we only taught her once and she is so interested!! we're excited to teach her more. she is elect fooo shoo. a few days ago at our hotspot this little girl like 9 comes running up to me so excited and says "hey we go to your church! arennt you joheva's witnesses" haha it was so funny and sad when i told her no..but there are a million j-dub wittnesses missionaries here and they look exactly like us just without tags. we went to see this recent convert nereyda and she fell asleep when we were reading to her(She is old and cant see well) it reminded me of DAD. and everyone has little dogs just like DASHY i love love it. we still got our free slurps on 7-11 day, just like free pretzel day on the office hahaa. i lead the music at scarament yesterday i was so glad i'm the choirister and not the pianist now. the elders had a baptism yesterday of 2 sisters it was cute. my release date is july 15 so i have 1 year left mark this week ahhh weird. dad they had scout camp last week at the keys, can you imagine! can you get me bryants home address? and also find my MTC comp on facebook or blog dana anne. i think she is at home. something the devil does is that NO ONE has remotes here and for the resturation dvd we need a remote to change it to spanish so a member gave us a mini one we connect to their tvs it has been awesome!! we met this guy at walgreens the other day he had just gotten out of the hosptial and didnt have enough money for meds. it was sad like he was a member but his cell didnt work and we couldnt give him money and only his bishop can help him. i felt really bad. anyways, i miss you all and will send pics another week. take care. talk to you sooon

hey fam how are you? glad to hear you had a fun 4th, mine was ok not anything too fun. we had a baptism yesterday in my new ward of a cute 13 year old boy named Vladi. i will try to attach pics. my new comp is hermana van de graff from mesa arizona. we get along, but i miss my old area a lot. mom, thanks for sending the package, that was so nice of you to send a present for them. it sounds like you are going to get to have a fun time in WA, i'm serving with elder johnson that nin knows his dad, we are really good friends already! i bore my testimony yesterday in spanish it was scary. we are working with 2 other invest henry and jorge, hopefully they will both get bap in 2 weeks but henry needs to stop smoking!! i only have 1 hr total on the comp so i need to figure out how to managae my time..sorry this is short.. miss you all have a good week and take care!! send pics of the trip- dad hope your HP thing went well i wanted to come :( love you so so much!!
